Sanctity of Human Life Sunday
Sanctity of Human Life Sunday recognizes the Roe v. Wade decision which legalized abortion on demand in the U.S on January 22, 1973. This recognition is held annually on one of the two Sundays in January closest to the date. SOHLS is a response to celebrate God’s gift of life and mourn more than 63 million lives lost due to abortion in the US. Arrangements can be made for an APS speaker to share more at a Sunday School class or worship service. APS also shares a short video each year, highlighting the gift of life.
